Select grade Blackbutt stained with a teak stain than finished in Rubio monocoat tinted with Dark oak to lighten very slighty. The base incorporates a full ladder frame which supports the top and prevents any cupping or twisting due to seasonal changes. We have also recessed two steel channels into both ends of the table to keep the ends flat. When purchasing a solid timber dining table, it is imperative that the base supports the top properly to ensure longevity of the tabletop.

These tables are made using premium Titebond 3 and Bostik AVXL wood glues (both water resistant and top of the range). The joinery consists of traditional crosslap joints and mortise and tenon joints. The tabletop is affixed to the base with custom tabletop buttons which add both a bespoke touch whilst also allowing the top to expand and contract. Finished in a natural hardwax oil that has been formulated for wood floors; this offers both a natural look and feel as well as being durable for everyday use.
